Six Old Kilns of Japan

Tamba Yaki” (or “Tachikui Yaki”) is a traditional style of pottery that has been produced in Kondacho Tachikui area (which is in Tamba-Sasayama city, Hyogo) since the 12th century.
Tanba Yaki is one of Japan's six oldest kilns, along with Seto, Tokoname, Shigaraki, Bizen, and Echizen.
With a maze of narrow slopes leading to kilns and workshops of various sizes on the hills, the magnificent nature of this village will welcome you, too!!
